The Disney+ streaming service is ready for launch this week and the company will be offering plenty of content to keep fans busy. On October 14th their Twitter page showed all the movies and shows that will be available on day one. Each of these was sent out in a separate tweet. Not only did this make for a lengthy twitter feed, but I believe this gives Disney a chance to easily see which of these properties the fans enjoy - if the Likes are any indication. Lets take a look at the top 50 Disney Movies and Shows ranked by Likes...

Now Available - Pulling A Rabbit Out Of A Hat: The Making Of Roger Rabbit Book

A new book recently released heavily details the making of Who Framed Roger Rabbit - starting with the original novel by Gary K. Wolf, to the impact that followed and continues all these years later. Pulling a Rabbit Out of a Hat: The Making of Roger Rabbit by Ross Anderson covers every aspect of the project that fans of the film, animation and Disney will greatly appreciate. While reading you'll start to realize it's a miracle the film was even made. It's a "Making Of" book that has more puzzle pieces than a detective story.

Packed with quotes, dates, places - and even referencing this very website - Ross Anderson has included everything a Roger Rabbit fan could ask for. It took more than a village to raise this Rabbit and now you can get to know the crew involved in the creation of the movie. Which directors were considered for the film? What Toontown gags didn't make it into the movie? How many Roger Rabbit short cartoons were originally planned!? Find out all this and more in The Making of Roger Rabbit: Pulling a Rabbit Out of a Hat. Buy your copy today!!

Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary

The time period of the late 1980's and early 90's brought about the Disney Renaissance - with renewed interest in fairytale cartoons and new park experiences. Who Framed Roger Rabbit can be considered the beginning of this time period, but since it is not a fully animated movie it often goes to The Little Mermaid. However, Roger Rabbit is what set The Little Mermaid swimming. Who Framed Roger Rabbit brought about enough acclaim that more animated movies were put into production. With one success after another, these new characters found a home in the newly opened park...
