Who Framed Roger Rabbit Animation Cel Auction

Stair Galleries presents Who Framed Roger Rabbit animation art for auction on August 2nd. Preregistration is required. The pieces are hand made animation and preproduction art as seen in the movie. Let's take a look at some of the items up for bid...

On Friday, August 2nd, Stair Galleries will be presenting a Who Framed Roger Rabbit auction featuring original animation art used in the movie. There will be 20 lots in all which include individual cels, cel progressions, and production art. These pieces were originally part of the Sotheby's auction in 1989 and can be found in their "Art of" book.

Website description:
"animation cels created for Walt Disney's 1988 movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit. These cels were used in the film or created in preproduction. Most of the cels are made of hand-painted acetate that was cut and attached to photographic prints of the live-action images in the film. Together they are called a 'setup' and were matted specifically for their inclusion in the 1989 sale The Art of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Most mats have the Walt Disney Company blindstamp and the setups have the Touchstone Pictures and Amblin Entertainment copyright stickers on the reverse."

Prices on each piece will vary. Bids can be placed online and via phone. Preregistration is required. Please visit StairGalleries.com for more information.
