Jessica Rabbit Merchandise Review #43 - Jessica & Roger Pencil Sharpeners

When it comes to Jessica Rabbit merchandise that I have NOT seen - the list is very short. While I certainly have an extensive collection myself, I don't own everything. Until a few days ago I thought I had pretty much seen it all - until I saw the Roger and Jessica Rabbit Pencil Sharpeners from Japan.

25 Years of The Disney Store

It's hard to believe that exactly 25 years ago today the very first Disney Store opened up in Glendale, California, with a bunch of very nervous Executives waiting to see if people would want to buy Disney merchandise outside the parks in a mall setting. The grand opening was a success and The Disney Store opened in twelve more locations soon after. What began as The Disney Company's idea of a piece of the magic outside the parks, soon changed theme (and ownership) over the years.

Pin Release - Disneyland Train Mystery Pin Set

There seem to be a lot of Mystery Pin sets being released lately. This, of course, makes you want to buy a few more sets to try an get the pin you want. The Disneyland Resort Train Mystery Set. The set comes with two randomly selected pins, so you won't know which pins out of ten possibilities you will get. Each pin is a section of a train based on a section from Disneyland. There was a bigger twist this time, as there are two chaser pins. A "chaser" is an even more rare pin and is usually a surprise until someone finds it. As you can see there are ten pins promoted, the chasers are not - one happens to be a pin of Toontown with Roger and Jessica Rabbit. The sets sell for $19.95 each and limited to 2500.

Angelina As Maleficent

She's been called the human version of Jessica Rabbit - but she is now set to star in Disney's live-action version of Sleeping Beauty, titled Maleficent. Rather than focusing the story on Aurora, this movie will be about one of Disney's most famous villains, Maleficent herself. Jolie is set to play the lead roll and filming, which was long rumored, is now scheduled to begin this summer.

What inspired you to start painting?

Denise:
I've been an artist my entire life, as long as I can remember...I began in the arts from watching my Dad , who was also an amazing artist/musician. He would draw and paint and I just knew that it was something I had to do as well. I began drawing, then drawing portraits, creating costumes, practicing with 3d mediums such as makeup & clays, which is now one of the most rewarding facets of my career, special fx makeup...you know, monsters, gore, fantasy, zombies, you name it, I create it...on actual people.
