New Release - Jessica Rabbit Medium Figure

There are many things to consider when spending $90 for a statue - like, if you can afford it, or if you have room for it. But, shoddy work from Disney is not something you would not be one of the things you would think of. Back in 2005, the Jessica Rabbit big figure was released in all Disney parks, and eventually made its way to the Disney Store website years later. At almost $200, standing around two feet tall, this Jessica statue was worth every penny. The big figure I ordered back then did sadly arrive broken. Disney replaced it no questions asked. Recently a smaller version of the Big Figure was released in Disney Park locations. I think it's officially being called the Medium Figure, but it has also simply been called a Jessica Rabbit sculpture. This smaller version though does not hold up to any expectations and has WAY too many issues to look out for that it's probably better to skip buying it!

Original Maroon Studios Sign

Here is a photo of the very rare original Maroon Studios sign from Disney's MGM Studios (left). This original sign was more like the opening of Who Framed Roger Rabbit - with Baby Herman and Roger Rabbit's heads below the logo. This time Jessica is joining them. The sign comes off as a little awkward with Jessica there since her hair just sort of hangs down.

I'm not sure when or why the sign was changed, but you can spot many differences. Mainly that now the characters are not only floating heads in the distance, but closer up half-body poses. The Maroon Studios logo curves on top of them, and the names are bigger and easier to read. The background also seems to have been fixed up.

Most of the other Roger Rabbit-themed items were changed, taken down, or relocated, however, the newer Maroon Studios sign still stands in what's now knows as Disney's Hollywood Studios.

New Release - Jessica Rabbit Coffee Tumbler

Jessica Rabbit does like her morning coffee, according to the new Jessica Rabbit "I'm not bad... I'm just drawn to coffee." tumbler that was recently released. Each mug comes with a rubber lid and a picture of Jessica on the front (which has been used before). I'm not sure what park location this has been released in, but it will probably be available in both Disneyland and Disney World locations.

Another Jessica Rabbit pin was released, this time through the Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store. This is the Pin Traders Delight Jessica Rabbit, featuring Jessica holding a tray with ice cream and dressed in a polka-dot outfit similar to Minnie Mouse. The pin is an LE 300 and is a free gift with purchase at the store.

Pin Release - Roger and Jessica Reveal/Conceal Pin

I'm not really grasping the concept of the new Disney Characters Family Portraits Reveal/Conceal Mystery Collection, but it appears that two pins come packed in a Mystery box, one pin is the revealed pin, the other pin in the box is the concealed mystery pin - I think. Either way, the Who Framed Roger Rabbit family is one of the pins - which includes Roger, Jessica, and Baby Herman as the concealed pin. The revealed pin that it comes with is Lilo and Stitch. The pins are available for $19.95 a set at both Disneyland and Disney World.

This is the first Jessica Rabbit pin released since December.

NEW Jessica Rabbit Motorcycle tshirt

Here is a look at the NEW Jessica Rabbit shirt from Downtown Disney locations. Not too much info on this other than it was just released - and it's of Jessica straddling a motorcycle. It says Jessica's Custom Speedshop on the front, and there is an eye-opening image of Jessica on the back. Talk about suggestive, Jessica is showing a lot of - junk in the trunk! This may be one of those shirts that is not around for a long time if there are any complaints.

*Update* FOUND! Finally. It seems this shirt cannot be found in the Disney system, as "Jessica" is not in the title of the item. For anyone interested in buying it - they are $24.95 each! If you call to order it the SKU number is 400006320537. The castmember told me the shirt is making the rounds to Epcot and a few other locations, but that the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney did not have many left in stock as of that moment. However, it's being reported that there are plenty of these shirts to go around.

Jessica Rabbit Light Up Premium Format

With any doubts you may have had about the Jessica Rabbit Premium Format by Sideshow Collectibles - be ready to place your order if you haven't already. Sideshow has revealed that the Jessica statue will feature a light-up display base. This was just recently revealed and not something they mentioned at all during its debut at the Comic-Con in July. However, we may get some explanation if Sideshow attends the annual New York Toy Fair happening this weekend. As you can see from the photo, there is a light under the stage Jessica is somehow impossibly standing on. This makes it very movie accurate to her scene in the Ink and Paint Club when the stage beneath her would light up every time she took a step.

Sideshow Collectibles mentions on their site that there are less than 30 Exclusive Edition Jessica Rabbit Premium Format figures available, but the good news is that the Regular Edition will feature the light-up base as well.

*UPDATE* The Sideshow website now lists the release of the statue for May 2012, and less than 10 statues remain for the Exclusive Edition. The Regular Edition is still available. New photos of the statue with the light-up base feature have been added. There is much speculation on the material of the dress being changed, as the dress seems to be "baggy" around Jessica's waist in some people's opinion. While there is definitely a difference, there is no word on if this is the final look of the statue for its May release.

Celebrating Nine Years

When I first started a Jessica Rabbit site nine years ago, I had no idea I'd still be at it - reporting on pins, statues, news and rumors. I opened the Yahoo group, JRab, on Valentines Day of 2003. Slowly but surely people began to join the group. There was not much you could do with the Group, other than post photos in an album, and leave some messages on the front page. There was still an interest in Jessica Rabbit, and not long after that her pins became a huge fan favorite - keeping me busy posting every bit of information I could. Statues, mugs, and shirts followed. Jessica was back in the public eye at long last.

I started to find out ways to get more news on the front page and was very busy keeping up with all the new Jessica releases while being creative making my own Jessica art to fit certain holidays or occasions. After five good years on Yahoo, I knew I had to move to a better alternative for a website. In 2008, for the 20th Anniversary of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, I started ImNotBad.com. While slow to keep up at first and focusing more attention to the YouTube channel ImNotBadTV, the website finally started to take shape - in the form of the curvaceous toon star to only be "...just drawn that way."

Jessica Rabbit artists took the time to conduct interviews with me for this site, giving it something interesting, entertaining, and respectable. Merchandise reviews brought in visitors looking for more information on certain Jessica items. ImNotBad.com is drawing in several thousand page views a week with people looking for costumes, art, and merchandise. To all of you who continue to visit, thanks for enjoying the site - and hopefully it will be bigger and better for next year. Stay Tooned!
