Coming Soon - Jessica Rabbit Disney Showcase Statue

In 2015 the first Jessica Rabbit Couture de Force statue was released, to great surprise. The collection had quickly gained in popularity since its debut in 2013 and Jessica was a perfect fit. These statues have ranged from characters in their most memorable ensembles with accentuated details, to characters reimagined in new and stylish outfits. Let's take a look at the newest Jessica statue coming this summer...

Pin Release - Patriotic Jessica

A new Jessica Rabbit pin was released at the Disney Studio Store on June 30th. It is part of a series celebrating the 4th of July. The Patriotic Series also features Tiana, Dumbo and Lilo. Each character is against a stars and stripes shield background. The character and gold border is pin-on-pin. Jessica's dress is glitter filled and her glove features white printing. She is holding a small American Flag in her hands. The pins sold for $16.95 and are a Limited Edition of 300 each.

Jessica Rabbit Rock Candy Figure By Funko Coming Soon

Funko continues to expand on their Rock Candy figure series and recently announced more Disney characters will be added to the line. Alice in Wonderland and Mrs. Incredible were revealed through Funko's website and may be on display at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con. This series of figures has been dedicated to leading ladies of pop culture, such as Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Barbie and Monster High but added male characters to it with the Harry Potter series. Cleaver internet scavengers found that another character might be on the way - Jessica Rabbit!

Jessica Rabbit Britto Statue Avaliable

The new Jessica Rabbit statue by Britto was schedule for release this month. It appears some websites will have it for availability in August (Entertainment Earth) while others may have it ready to ship out as of now (World Wide Art). The statue is made by Enesco and they have not yet added it to their Online Store, but it should be available on there at some point. The statue should be roughly 8 inches in height and will sell for $75.

Pin Release - I'm Not Bad. I'm Just Drawn That Way

There's been a new Jessica Rabbit pin released in Disney Parks this month. There haven't been many Jessica pins lately, but this pis happens to be a great one. Jessica is sitting with her arms behind her head, with a banner around her which has her famous quote from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, "I'm Not Bad. I'm Just Drawn That Way." Jessica's dress is glitter filled, and she is sitting next to a pencil and paintbrush (which has some glitter paint on the end). Part of the banner is the bottom layer of the pin, while Jessica is a top layer. As far as I know this is an open edition pin which has turned up in Disneyland and sells for $12.99 each. Jessica Rabbit Store 25th Anniversary - Part Three: The Merchandise

The Jessica Rabbit store was not short on the amount of merchandise it offered. Though the building was only a few hundred square feet of shopping space, it was packed with shirts, mugs, jackets, magnets, towels, tote bags, jewelry, and yes... even lingerie. Who Framed Roger Rabbit was a blockbuster movie, it was followed by two short cartoons, with another on the way by the time the Jessica Rabbit store was in place. It would appear there would be plenty of time to capitalize on the character - but unfortunately that time came to a quick and sudden end. There has been little record of Jessica's and the merchandise that was once available, especially since Pleasure Island is now a thing of the past.

Here for the first time is a very exclusive look at the vast selection of merchandise available at Jessica's. We will get inside information about some of the items through artist interviews and even see concept art for merchandise never produced.

Jessica Rabbit Store 25th Anniversary - Part Two: The Building

Pleasure Island was more than a new location filled with shops and bars, it was actually an entirely new themed area. The island itself had a backstory of once belonging to Merriweather Adam Pleasure, who used the buildings for his seafaring business. After he was lost at sea the island and its buildings sat abandoned until it was discovered by Imagineers. They were determined to bring new life into the old island, and also pay homage to its previous owner. Once restored, the island was bustling again and even had its own mascot, the moon-faced Grand Funmeister. All the buildings had a rustic, industrial look with many of them having metal side paneling, vaulted ceilings and large windows. The Jessica's store was no exception, and seemed to incorporate an older style with that of a modern city building.

Even though the mermaid from Splash didn't get her signature saloon with a tail-swinging neon sign, the idea may have inspired what we know as the Jessica Rabbit store. Let's take a closer look at the area of Pleasure Island where Jessica's was located, the building, brochure maps and what it was like for Jessica Rabbit creator, Gary K. Wolf, to see his character's very own store.

Now Available - The New Jessica Rabbit Bust

The new Jessica Rabbit bust by Grand Jester Studios is now available to order through the Enesco Website. It is 8" tall, is full of little details at the base and sells for $80.

Over the years so many more Jessica fans have materialized and since that time there have been much to post on - from pins, merchandise, reunions, rumors, fan art, customs, reviews, and her much talked about Disney Park appearance. While 2013 was a bigger year for Jessica with the Silver Anniversary of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, 2014 still offered a lot of the sultry singer of Toontown. Let's review 2014 and all the Jessica Rabbit news:

A new Piece of Disneyland History pin series was released in January to celebrate the history of Disneyland attractions, including the Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin ride. On this pin, Jessica is holding a mallet and tied up (after making her escape from the weasels from the end scene), features a glitter filled dress - and a piece of Jessica Rabbit's purple spandex glove from the ride! While 2014 still offered less Jessica pins, they were in no short supply. "I'm not bad. I just CRUISE that way." was released on Disney Cruise Lines, a hinged 2014 Pin Trading Night, and several more were released monthly from the Disney Studio Store in Hollywood.

Artist Kengi was spotted in Downtown Disney, creating some cool Jessica Rabbit art at the Wonderground Gallery. Here you can see the artist as he draws our favorite toon in colored pencils. Vibrant red and purple are used to recreate the stunning form of Jessica.

Flashback Friday - Jessica Rabbit Disneyland Paris Statue

In 2007, Disneyland Paris offered a surprising amount of new Jessica merchandise such as a clock, shirt, chalkboard, apron, button pins and also a very accurate and curvy statue. Featuring a dark-pink glitter dress, purple flocked gloves and a mirrored kiss base - this is one Jessica statue that needs a closer look:

NEW Jessica Rabbit Poster

The good people over at Acme Archives Ltd. have informed me of a new Jessica Rabbit poster by artist Michael de Pippo which will be available on November 20th through DarkInkArt.

It will sell for $50.00, is a Limited Edition 250 and is a silk screen with special metallic pink ink. Each print has the artist's authorized signature and it measures 18" x 24". It would make a great gift for the holidays!

Jessica Rabbit Surf Mug Available On Disney's Website

The new Jessica Rabbit mug from Disney Parks has been released on DisneyStore.com. This image was used way back in 2003 for pins, shirts, hats and eventually a towel. The mug is red and the handle is black. Jessica is in her green bikini top and grass skirt with flower lei. She's standing in front of a large surfboard and large blue flowers. The other side reads Jessica's Longboard Surf Shack - Makin' them big since 1950 which is surrounded by bamboo and flowers.

Jessica Rabbit Store Floor Plan

The Jessica's store once stood in Pleasure Island for a very short time. The D23 Website states that it was opened on December 15th 1990. It was repurposed into the Music Legends store some time in mid 1992. It was located on the corner of Breeze Way and Chandler Row. The neon leg-swinging sign of Jessica became a fixture to the island for many years after the store had gone. There had always been very little information about the store available - for example a floor plan and merchandise layout. With the help of one brief video of the store, and my own memory, I have created a full interior layout of the Jessica Rabbit store, exclusive to ImNotBad.com.

Pin Release - Father's Day Pin Series Jessica

The Father's Day Series features one pin with Jessica. It was released on June 08, 2009 on the Disney Shopping website. It sells for $14.95 and is a Limited Edition of 250. Jessica Rabbit is adding some va-va-voom to Father's Day! She is on the golf course in a short maroon skirt and hat. She holds a golf club and there is a bag next to her showing one club with a plush Roger Rabbit head cover. The backdrop is a golf course with bushes, and the grass on the field is a clear green fill.

2007 Year End Review, Pins, Hot Topic and 20th Anniversary!

Not to be outdone by last year, 2007 was yet another Jessica-filled year with almost 140 items released, dominated mostly of course by pins. The pin-trading craze is still hot as ever but there were some changes that didn't go unnoticed.

In the past, Jessica pins often sold out the same morning of release, forcing people to stay up until midnight (or 3am on the East Coast) to get their desired pin, but this year we often saw a Jessica pin on the site for weeks after release. There were some that did disappear quickly though, like Doctor Jessica and Jessica on a Motorcycle. There was no telling just which pin was going to strike a nerve with collectors but Jessica has now become more commonplace.

Roger and Jessica were often together on pins this time around and this became common throughout the year. We also got to see other characters, such as Baby Herman, Benny and the Weasels.
