Jessica Rabbit Merchandise Review #15 - Disney Auctions Jessica Rabbit 6 Pin Set

After a long hiatus, Jessica Rabbit was making a comeback, at least in pin-form anyway. Month after month a few Jessica pins were released - however, it was about to get a lot more exciting (and expensive!)

There was a period in 2004, between May and October, where no Jessica pins were released. Epcot held a Family Pin Gathering Event in September which did offer one Jessica and Roger pin, yet that pin had been previewed months before. So, it almost looked as if the attraction to Jessica pins was a very momentary thing - until - a new series of Jessica Rabbit pins were spotted on display at the event.

Four of The Jessica Rabbit Disney Auctions 6 Pin Set displayed for the first time ever at the Family Pin Gathering Event.

Jessica Rabbit Merchandise Review # 14 - Jinglin' Jessica Christmas Ornament

For many years, there was a dry spell for Jessica Rabbit, Roger and company. During the release of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, tons of merchandise was released - although the main focus seemed to be on Roger, and Baby Herman & Benny the Cab to a lesser extent. Very sporadic merchandise was released during the time of the release of the short films; Tummy Trouble, Rollercoaster Rabbit and Trail Mix-Up. The three shorts didn't even have separate "specialized" merchandise dedicated to them. The rumors have always theorized on why this happened, but it all seems to come down to Disney's Michael Eisner and Amblin's Steven Spielberg did not get along - so in essence it was easier for both companies to just let it go rather than try to get them to agree on anything together (which included more short films, the sequel, and merchandise.)

He then went on to form Electric Tiki Design, which has amassed an impressive selection of statues and maquettes with such characters as Elvira, Betty Boop, Tron, The Munsters, Underdog, and even original creations.

Jessica Rabbit Merchandise Review #13 - Jessica Rabbit Big Figure

Disney Big figures may have been born out of customers interest in the Disney Store's decorations. Statues of Mickey, Minnie and Donald were often seen in each store at the time. Some time into the Millennium, Disney parks began creating Big Figures - very large format sized statues. They soon became a big hit. In 2005, Disney finally offered up a stunning Jessica Rabbit Big Figure, featuring glitter, jewel earring, and display base.

Sideshow Collectibles Still Wants Jessica

This question was posted to the good people at Sideshow Collectibles, and it was answered October 25th, 2010 (again, no, I didn't ask it):

Q: I’ve heard that the animated character Disney Premium Format line is planned to only be the villains. While the villains are great, and the Evil Queen PF is totally fantastic, please tell me that non-villains are in development as well? Belle, the Beast, Jessica Rabbit and of course, Snow White, just have to be made, or what’s the point?

A: It’s true – our original licensing agreement with Disney called for just the live-action film characters and animated villains. We have expanded those rights, with strong intent on Jessica Rabbit and others. We’ll DEFINITELY pass along your Disney Princess recommendations.

Rachael Ray Halloween Episode

The Rachael Ray 3D Halloween Special started off with thrills and chills as New Yorkers became possessed and danced in the streets with zombies to the song Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo (the lead singer of that song happens to be none other than the singing voice for Jack Skellington, Danny Elfman.)

Rachel Ray and her husband John arrive dressed as Jessica and Roger Rabbit.
