ImNotBad.com 2014 Year End Review

While 2013 was a bigger year for Jessica with the Silver Anniversary of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, 2014 still offered a lot of the sultry singer of Toontown. Let's review 2014 and all the Jessica Rabbit news:

A new Piece of Disneyland History pin series was released in January to celebrate the history of Disneyland attractions, including the Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin ride. On this pin, Jessica is holding a mallet and tied up (after making her escape from the weasels from the end scene), features a glitter filled dress - and a piece of Jessica Rabbit's purple spandex glove from the ride! While 2014 still offered less Jessica pins, they were in no short supply. "I'm not bad. I just CRUISE that way." was released on Disney Cruise Lines, a hinged 2014 Pin Trading Night, and several more were released monthly from the Disney Studio Store in Hollywood.

Artist Kengi was spotted in Downtown Disney, creating some cool Jessica Rabbit art at the Wonderground Gallery. Here you can see the artist as he draws our favorite toon in colored pencils. Vibrant red and purple are used to recreate the stunning form of Jessica.

Jessica's dress is fully glittered. The ornament is designed by artist Steve Thompson and is freestanding so it can be used for your tree, on your desk or a shelf. Pin Release - DSS Postcard Set With Russell, Stitch And Jessica

The Disney Studio Store and Ghirardelli Soda Fountain released a new Postcard Pin Set on Sunday, December 21 2014. The set features Jessica, Stitch and Russell. It is presented on a special backer Postcard with the Disney Studio Store Hollywood, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and The El Capitan Theatre. There is a Hooray For Hollywood ! sign on the theatre marquee. There is a big, red tourist bus in the middle with stars, Mickey Icon's and other signage. The three characters are the pins for the set. They are dressed as tourists and stand in front of the store and El Capitan Theater.

Jessica is carrying a shopping bag, and ice cream in one hand - and a camera around her wrist on the other. She is dressed in a red short sleeve top and short blue pants with red heels. She also has brown sunglasses on the top of her head. Special thanks to José for the up-close picture. From the concept art above, you can see that original plans were to have Jessica's top be glitter filled, but this was changed for the final release. Each Postcard Pin Set is a Limited Edition of 400 and sold for $29.95.

New Nurse Jessica Rabbit Painting By William Silvers

A new painting by William Silvers has shown up depicting Jessica Rabbit in one of her more rare costumes - Nurse Jessica from the Tummy Trouble cartoon short. The art of William Silvers can be seen around various Disney Parks. They are normally a canvas giclée (pronounced zheeklay) and his original Jessica was selling for $295 (below). Any Nurse Jessica merchandise stopped production due to the Nurses Association complaint in 2004 when a Jessica pin was released to commemorate the day.

Vote For This Roger Rabbit Lego Set

Don't forget to vote for the Roger Rabbit lego set, created by Alex for Lego Ideas. This is a fantastic idea, and Roger Rabbit has never been made into a lego set.

One proposal is the Acme Factory set. Build the factory from the climactic ending of the movie, complete with mini-figurs of Roger Rabbit, Jessica Rabbit, Eddie Valiant and Judge Doom. You can also also build the steamroller that flattens Doom.

So - it's up to the public to vote. The goal is far off, but it's a reachable one. Below are the links to the projects, you do need to make a username to vote, but it's well worth it:

Who Wacked Roger Rabbit? Now Available In Paperback

The third and long-awaited Roger Rabbit novel, Who Wacked Roger Rabbit?, is now available in paperback.

Buy It Now

Author Gary K. Wolf has had many requests for the story of a man, a woman and a rabbit be brought out of the cloud and into our hands. Now the third Roger Rabbit novel can be yours to own in paperback, and displayed along with your other books and collection.

In case you have missed out on any of the details for this story, you can read my review of the book, or here is another little nibble at the dangling carrot:

Hard-boiled gumshoe Eddie Valiant lands a plum job as Gary Cooper's bodyguard while Coop scouts locations for his next movie—a screwball comedy titled Hi, Toon! But Eddie's dream job quickly turns into a nightmare. The film's being shot in Toontown, and Coop's co-star turns out to be none other than Roger Rabbit. Eddie's a big fan of Coop. Of Roger? Not so much. Now a sinister hoodlum is threatening to murder Coop if the movie gets made. Before long, Eddie, Coop, Roger, and the ever-glamorous Jessica Rabbit are embroiled in a mystery that could destroy Toontown. When Roger bites off more Toonish trouble than Eddie can swallow, the answer to the question Who Wacked Roger Rabbit? suddenly becomes no laughing matter.
