The Disney Designer collection for 2017 has official been announced, and it's taking on a much bigger and broader theme this time around with new characters we haven't seen before!
The news comes directly from the D23 Website which explains the theme of the new series:
Disney Designer Collection: Formerly known as the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection, the Disney Designer Collection takes the classic assortment beyond the fairytale to tell the iconic stories of Disney’s legacy of film history and introduces three series: Fairytale Series, Folktale Series, and Pixar Animation Studios Series.
Three of the new Limited Edition dolls will be available for purchase at D23:
Fairytale Series: Pinocchio (Limited Edition of 1,023)
Folktale Series: Mulan (Limited Edition of 523)
Pixar Animation Studios Series: The Incredibles (Limited Edition of 1,023)
D23 Expo attendees can also preview and pre-purchase a set of the five limited edition dolls releasing at Disney Store locations and DisneyStore.com from September–November (each limited to an edition size of 6,000):
Fairytale Series: The Little Mermaid, Tangled, Robin Hood

April 12th, 2017 marks the 25th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris' grand opening. In an equally grand fashion they held a huge ceremony featuring 150 Disney characters included in their Grand Celebration and Character Cavalcade Parade.

The morning began with a special opening ceremony which focused on the five different lands of the park and many rare characters who aren't often seen. Later in the day there was a parade featuring all the characters and dancers from the opening ceremony. Very surprisingly, Jessica Rabbit was one of those characters included. Lets take a look at the day's events...

Scheduled for Summer 2017 there will be two new Roger Rabbit characters added into the Romero Britto Collection. In 2013 a Jessica Rabbit bust was added to the catalog of Disney characters recreated in Britto's bright, bold style. Joining the list of Disney characters such as the Little Mermaid, Tinker Bell and Mickey Mouse, Jessica was later released as a full statue in 2016. This summer Benny the Cab and Roger Rabbit himself will be added to the collection, with the same signature graffiti style and cubist patterns. Roger will sell for $44.99. He stands at 6¾ inches tall and will feature one gold glittered glove. Benny will sell for $54.99. He will be 7 inches front to back and 3¼ inches tall. They are scheduled to be released some time in July 2017.
