Pin Release - Resort Holiday Ornament Collection

The 2018 Resort Holiday Ornament Collection series was released in Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Each pin represents a different Disney World and Disneyland resort. Roger and Jessica Rabbit are representing Disney's Pop Century Resort! The pin is hinged and shaped like an ornament - complete with hanging ribbon. The resort logo is printed on the front and surrounded by pink and silver glitter fill. There is a purple bow at the top which says "Happy Holidays 2018." The hinged ornament opens to reveal Jessica and Roger inside. Jessica is wearing a Christmas hat and white trimmed dress and Roger is holding a holiday wreath. It is a Limited Edition of 1500 and sells for $16.99.

Pin Preview: St. Patrick's Day Jessica

A new Jessica Rabbit pin will be released soon in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Jessica holding a green bowler hat and is set behind shamrocks (both with green glitter fill) and gold coins. The background is a shamrock shape with clear green fill and more shamrock shapes embossed inside. The banner below reads "St. Patrick's Day 2018." Both Disneyland and Walt Disney world will have this pin. It will be a Limited Edition of 4,000 and there is no set price listed yet.

Pin Release - Crooked Comrades

A new mystery pin set was released on July 6th in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Two pins come packed in a Mystery box, one pin is the revealed pin showing in the window, the other pin in the box is the concealed mystery pin. This set is based on Disney's most vile sidekicks - many of which have rarely or never had a pin design before. The reveal pins are: Pain & Panic, Lucifer, Boss Weasel, Si & Am, LeFou, Iago, and Smee. The mystery pins are Roscoe & DeSoto from Oliver and Company, Brutus & Nero from The Rescuers, Flotsam and Jetsam, Maleficent's Goons, Kaa from The Jungle Book, Fidget from The Great Mouse Detective, Joanna from The Rescuers Down Under. Each character is set against a clear purple fill background with jagged silver boarder. The sets sell for $16.99 for two pins and though there is no assigned limited number they are marked as a Limited Release.

Toontown Cabbies March Magic Shirt

A new Roger Rabbit shirt was released as part of Disney's March Magic competition. Disney is looking for fans to crown a winner for the "Ultimate Disney Attraction" by voting through their Facebook Page. Voting will take place from March 14 through April 3. Artwork for the different teams has been created and is available through the Disney Store website as Limited Edition t-shirts and posters.

Pin Release: Love Letter Roger And Jessica

The Disney Love Letters monthly pin series continues with Roger and Jessica Rabbit are scheduled to be released soon. It was brought to my attention that the pin is finally coming out on September 1st and available in Disneyland and Disney World. Other characters in the series are: Cinderella and Prince Charming, Ariel and Eric, Carl Fredricksen and Ellie, Lady and the Tramp, Naveen and Tiana, Mickey and Minnie, Wall-E and Eve, Donald and Daisy, Jack and Sally, Beast and Belle, and Prince Phillip and Aurora. Like most letter pins, these have two layers. The top flap of the envelope is hinged to open up. The letter portion will be in the back and can be lifted out of the envelope by pulling the flap. Roger is on the left, kneeling and swooning over Jessica. She is on the right sending a kiss to him. There is a reel of unraveled film between them. When opened the message inside printed in dark pink reads "I love you more than anyone has ever loved anyone." with a heart below the quote. The pins will also come on special backer cards. It will be a Limited Edition of 3,000 and sell for $15.95.

New Jessica Rabbit Art Available

Some new Jessica Rabbit artwork and sketches have surfaced online. Certain stores in the Disney Parks and Disney Marketplace have been selling character sketches for many years. Jessica has always been available at one time or another but I've never personally seen one of her sketches for sale when in one of the stores. Two new artist sketches and one new art piece were recently found...

Visiting The Roger Rabbit Props One Last Time

There are some very big changes coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios. This year work begins on three new "lands" within the park (which will consequently receive a third name change since the focus of it is so different). The Disney Renaissance began with Who Framed Roger Rabbit and its success ushered in new animated features like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. Around this time, Disney's MGM Studios heavily focused on its hand drawn cartoons and served as a functioning movie studio. Roger and Jessica Rabbit even had their own area within the park. This is most likely going to vanish altogether after the new changes. Let's take a look at what's left there, and what it originally looked like years ago.

Jessica Rabbit Store 25th Anniversary - Part One: The Beginning

According to the D23 Website, December 15th, 2015 will mark the 25th Anniversary of Jessica's, the Jessica Rabbit store which once stood in the center of Pleasure Island. This store is almost legendary to some people, since its time in Disney History was extremely short. Often confused as merely a lingerie shop, Jessica's was actually full of themed merchandise such as mugs, shirts, statues and accessories. Although Pleasure Island has now converted into Disney Springs, the iconic image of Jessica Rabbit was a mainstay to the West End Stage, greeting guests and providing photo opportunities long after her store had closed. This is part of the Spotlight Island Collection, noted by the lit torch at the bottom left of the pin.

The pins of this set are Mickey Mouse as the Grand Marshall, Stitch as a sign bearer, Donald Duck as Troop Leader, Jessica Rabbit as Miss Trade City, Figment as a pin trader, Goofy as the balloon wrangler, Minnie Mouse as a majorette, and Tinker Bell. Other characters who are part of the background print are Chip and Dale, Jiminy Cricket, Daisy Duck, Mickey's nephews, Clarabell Cow, The Muppets, The Hitchhiking Ghosts, Duck Tales, Roger Rabbit, Dumbo and more.

This was the first public pin in the U.S. sold of Jessica with a glitter filled dress.

This pin was first released in Disneyland, and then Disney World in the Fall of 2003. On May 15th, 2003 a one-of-a-kind edition of this pin in gold metal sold on Disney Shopping for $128 (below).
