Pin Release - Jessica Rabbit Disney Studio Store Pins

 

Two new Jessica Rabbit pins were revealed in time for D23. The Pizza Series is a Limited Edition of 500 each and sells for $36. Jessica, from Old Hollywood Pizza, is in the center of the box wearing a chef hat and apron. It appears that half of the pizza is off to the right and may be a slider.

The second is the Hollywood Series Open Edition pin. It will also be available at the Disney Studio Store after D23. The pin says "Hollywood" off to the left and Jessica Rabbit stands to the right with her hands on her hips. Jessica's dress is glitter filled. They sell for $24 each.

Pin Release - Love Is An Adventure Roger And Jessica Rabbit

The Love is an Adventure Pin Event was held in Walt Disney World's Epcot Center on August 25th and 26th. A Who Framed Roger Rabbit Mini Jumbo pin was available, designed by Dawn Ockstadt. It was a Limited Edition of 300 and sold for $24.99 each. The pin is made with a 3D sculpted metal frame featuring characters from the Ink and Paint Club - Crow musicians, Bongo the Gorilla, Octopus bartender and Penguin waiters. In the center there is a full color printed insert where Roger Rabbit can be seen swooning over his wife, Jessica.

Pin Release - Love Is Animated

A surprise Roger and Jessica Rabbit pin was released at the Love is an Adventure event in Walt Disney World's Epcot Center. Love is Animated is a chaser pin in the Love is an Adventure Mystery Pin set. Roger and Jessica join other characters in the series: Figment, Mulan, Mickey Mouse, Nightmare Before Christmas, The Fox and the Hound, Robin Hood, Pinocchio, The Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, Donald Duck, Dumbo, Paperman, The Princess and the Frog, The Jungle Book and Hercules. This is a very diverse group of characters, each with the same theme of "Love is" with the characters in a circular frame and a banner underneath. Jessica is carrying her honey bunny, Roger, and red hearts are surrounding them. The chaser pins are a Limited Edition of 250 and a set of two mystery pins sells for $19.99.

Each couple is in a different colored rose. The roses are glitter filled and the petals slide open to reveal the couple inside.

A third layer below are a pencil and paint brush with the "Artist Choice" mark.

Disney honors its then-hit TV shows with four different pins - Mulan in Alias, Jessica Rabbit is Desperate Housewives, Doc in General Hospital and Stitch in Lost. These were Cast Member pins on special backer cards. Jessica is holding a red apple. The card is the neighborhood of Wisteria Lane. The Desperate Housewives logo and Pin 1 of 4 with Jessica's name appear on the card. There were also special promotional flyers and signs for the event featuring each character.

Pin Release - WDI D23 Destination D: Attraction Rewind Jessica Rabbit Sign

A WDI Exclusive pin of the famous Jessica Rabbit and Pleasure Island Tonight! sign was released on Sunday, November 23rd at the D23 Destination D: Attraction Rewind. The Pleasure Island: Rewind was presented by Twinings of London® and celebrated the early days of the Downtown Disney nightlife district - which include moments dedicated to The Adventurers Club, Comedy Warehouse, Mannequins, and 8 Trax. This event was the grand finale the Destination D weekend and was topped off with a "New Years Eve" style celebration.

The Jessica Rabbit Pleasure Island pin was available at the Disney D23 Destination D Event as a Walt Disney Imagineering exclusive. This is a replica of the Pleasure Island Tonight! sign which was once atop the West End Stage on Pleasure Island. The back layer is circular with a dark blue clear fill with stars showing in the metal. The Pleasure Island Tonight! sign is on the next layer with a purple background and the two firework shapes which animated along side it. Jessica is also part of this layer, with a glitter filled dress and a movable leg as another layer. Her red lips have been printed on. This pin was a Limited Edition of 250 and sold for $19.95 each. It is an oversized pin measuring 3 inches and came on a special Pleasure Island backer card with original logo. The pin was reported to be Sold Out at the event.

Pin Release - Imagination Gala Jessica Quote And Surprise Pin

The Imagination Gala Trading Pin Event was held on September 5th through September 7th in Epcot's World ShowPlace. There were two pins released during the event. The first was part of the Most Quotable Quotes Box Set and the other was a surprise release.

For the Box Set pin, Jessica is framed in gold with a purple curtain and a sculpted Figment head at the top. The background will be a pearlized black fill. Under the quarter shot of Jessica will be a film reel with her memorable quote, "I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way." This is the first ever pin to feature the full quote. A button with this quote was released in 1988. Other pins have a modified version such as, "I'm just drawn to chocolate", and "I just cruise that way." The boxed set also included Ursula, Zurg, Grumpy, Roz, and Lilo and Stitch. The set sold for $109 and is a Limited Edition of 250.

The other pin available at the event was a surprise release. Jessica is posed next to a gold Figment statue from the Imagination Gala event. The statue has a gold glitter fill. Jessica is sitting next to it in the pose from her Pleasure Island sign. The other characters released in the series are Jiminy Cricket, Goofy, Tinker Bell, Orange Bird and Stitch. They are a Limited Edition of 1000.

Pin Release - 2014 Epcot International Food And Wine Festival Chef Jessica

A new pin was released on Friday, September 19th at the 2014 Epcot International Food And Wine Festival featuring Jessica Rabbit as a chef. It comes on a special large backer card with her recipe for Carrot Cake. Jessica is dressed like a chef with white hat and coat. She's holding a plate of carrot cake (the cake is a PVC element). There is another pin layer below her with the event logo and her quote, "I'll bake you a carrot cake." The lettering was originally shown to be colored red, but appears it was changed to black for the final version for sale. The backer card is a recipe card for Carrot Cake with White Chocolate Cheesecake Icing. The pin is a Limited Edition of 4000 and will sell for $14.95 each. Should this pin still be available after 30 days of release, it can be ordered through Disney Merchandise Guest Services.

Pin Preview - Imagination Gala Jessica Rabbit

The Imagination Gala Trading Pin Event will take place September 5 - September 7 in Epcot's World ShowPlace. The purple carpet will be rolled out for this magical event. There will be a number of exclusive pins released which will celebrate some of Disney's best movie moments. One set is the Most Quotable Quotes featuring certain Disney characters delivering their famous line. Jessica Rabbit will be part of this set. Other pins in this set are Grumpy, Ursula, Zurg, Lilo and Stitch, and Roz.

Jessica Rabbit As Mona Lisa Pin Art

Our Jessica Rabbit is a real work of art - but here's even more proof! Jessica Rabbit as the Mona Lisa was released as a pin at the Walt Disney World Museum of Pin-tiquities Event on June 26, 2009. Reenacting the classic portrait by Leonardo da Vinci, Jessica is posed with that telling grin and dressed just as the Mona Lisa appeared in the painting, she's even "framed" in gold. Below are two of the early artworks of the pin not seen since before the event.

Pin Collector Interview - The Full Jessica Rabbit Collection

When it comes to Jessica Rabbit pins, the number is surprisingly large for a character who was not used in any merchandising for many years. With that number now reaching over 600 as of 2013 - it's downright impossible to collect every single Jessica pin. Especially with Disney's use of Mystery Sets and the very low edition sizes from the Disney Actions days - it's pretty definite that no one out there can possibly have the entire collection. Well, one woman actually HAS accomplished this! Every Jessica Rabbit pin to date. Every park exclusive. Every LE 50. Naturally, I had some questions for her about her collections, which pins are her favorites and why she thought the hobby of pin collecting (and Jessica Rabbit pin collecting in general) became so popular.

How long have you been a pin collector?

Well, I've been a casual pin collector since before official pin trading started in 2000. I remember my first pin being some little Tinker Bell pin they sold at the Disney Store, sometime in the 1990s. I continued to purchase a pin here or there while at the Parks until 2005, when I found out about Pin Trading Nights at WDW, as well as the online pins at what was, at the time, Disneyshopping.com, and that's when things got serious!

Pin Release - Big Thunder Mountain Event Roger and Jessica

An amazing and beautiful pin was released today at Disneyland Paris - Roger and Jessica Rabbit on Big Thunder Mountain. The pin was a surprise release part of the Big Thunder Mountain Event today. The pin is a Limited Edition of 400 and is called a mini-jumbo pin. The design is much inspired by the short cartoon Roller Coaster Rabbit. Roger and Baby Herman are in a wood cart on the Big Thunder Mountain ride (the cart still being appropriately numbered 13) and Roger has his arms stretched out to rescue Jessica. Jessica is tied to the tracks, taken straight out of the cartoon short. This is quite a pin. There is a lot of print work on it such as the ride logo at the bottom in yellow and red, as well as Jessica's eye, lips and glove. Roger and Baby Herman also have printed elements on them such as their eyes and they are a second pin-on-pin layer. I didn't expect we'd ever get to see a pin of Jessica Rabbit tied up from that scene, but naturally it's already quite popular to pin collectors here in the states.

Pin Preview - Mickey's Toontown 20th Anniversary

Mickey's Toontown opened in 1993 and celebrates it's 20th Anniversary in 2013. To celebrate the event, a commemorative limited edition pin will be available - but it will feature Roger and Jessica Rabbit.

This will be a pin on pin, and Jessica's dress is glitter filled.

Pin Previews - October, November and December

At the Mickey's Circus event, upcoming pins were previewed for The Disney Soda Fountain Store and shown on their Facebook page. Jessica has one pin coming in October (although it's not a Halloween pin.) part of the Diner series. There will be a Thanksgiving pin released on November 10th, and a Christmas pin released on November 24th. If you look at the last two photos, there seems to be a few more Jessica pins on the way. You might be able to make them out if your are eagle-eyed enough. This preview does NOT show any of the Surprise pin releases, so there is still a possibility of a Jessica Rabbit Halloween pin this year.

There will be a Toontown 20th Anniversary Pin released in Disneyland some time around December, featuring Roger and Jessica Rabbit (left). There were plenty of small pin artworks posted at the event which were hard to see, but Disney Soda Fountain appears to have quite a few on the way, including a Toys for Tots Jessica pin (right).

Jessica Rabbit Auction Lot At Mickey's Circus Event

Not only will there be a brand new Jessica and Roger Rabbit pin at the upcoming Mickey's Circus Event (September 7-8), but there will be an auction for several character pin lots, including Jessica! Auction Lot #2 includes framed artwork by Alex Maher for the Remarkable Rabbit's pin made especially for the pin event, thirteen different Jessica Rabbit pins, eight Artist Proofs, three Pre-production pins and three unmarked pins (not sure what that is.)

You can see in the picture below, some of the thirteen regular pins include the 2005 Valentine's Day Jumbo, out-of-the-frame Pin Trading University pins, Jessica Mona Lisa, and the newly released Jessica's Body Shop.

Pin Release - Jessica's Body Shop

The Jessica's Body Shop Pin was released on August 17th at Disneyland's Gear Up For Adventure event. Part of the new "Car Show at Disneyland" collection, it a limited edition of 500, and sold for $13.95 each. It is being reported that this pin might have sold out at the event, however you can find several of them on eBay.

Gear Up For Adventure Event at Disneyland

In August, Disneyland's Gear Up For Adventure Event will include several new pins which are part of A Car Show At Disneyland collection. The characters will include Mickey, Dumbo, Toy Story, Oswald, Monsters Inc., Tinker Bell, and Jessica Rabbit. There is an entry process to buy these pins which begins on July 25th, so if you plan on making the Road Trip To California, you better sign up today.

The Jessica Rabbit's Body Shop limited edition pin is part of the new "Car Show at Disneyland" collection debuting at the August 17th, 2012 Gear Up For Adventure Event at the Disneyland Resort. Jessica is pin-on-pin, standing in a sparkly purple jumpsuit, holding a heart shaped wrench over her shoulder. There is a red car in the back with its hood opened which says Jessica's inside - and Body Shop below in the license plate. The pins will come on special backer cards and be a limited edition of 500, and sell for $13.95 each. There is also a framed set of car pins being released with pictures of Jessica's Body Shop and Benny the Cab.
