This is the very first Jessica Rabbit Halloween pin ever released. It came as a Tombstone Set with Mickey's dog, Pluto. There were six sets released in this series and a special graveyard diorama. Jessica gets spooked by bats while out trick-or-treating. Someone is digging up trouble!

Maleficent 17 Inch Doll Revealed

The highly anticipated Sleeping Beauty 17 Inch Heirloom Collection has been revealed - offering one surprise doll. While it was expected Maleficent would be offered in the series, there was still debate if Prince Phillip would be offered. This speculation came after seeing the first male 17 inch doll made last year with Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid. Prince Phillip will be part of the series - as well as Aurora in a blue version of her dress.

Pin Release - Imagination Gala Jessica Quote And Surprise Pin

The Imagination Gala Trading Pin Event was held on September 5th through September 7th in Epcot's World ShowPlace. There were two pins released during the event. The first was part of the Most Quotable Quotes Box Set and the other was a surprise release.

For the Box Set pin, Jessica is framed in gold with a purple curtain and a sculpted Figment head at the top. The background will be a pearlized black fill. Under the quarter shot of Jessica will be a film reel with her memorable quote, "I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way." This is the first ever pin to feature the full quote. A button with this quote was released in 1988. Other pins have a modified version such as, "I'm just drawn to chocolate", and "I just cruise that way." The boxed set also included Ursula, Zurg, Grumpy, Roz, and Lilo and Stitch. The set sold for $109 and is a Limited Edition of 250.

The other pin available at the event was a surprise release. Jessica is posed next to a gold Figment statue from the Imagination Gala event. The statue has a gold glitter fill. Jessica is sitting next to it in the pose from her Pleasure Island sign. The other characters released in the series are Jiminy Cricket, Goofy, Tinker Bell, Orange Bird and Stitch. They are a Limited Edition of 1000.

Flashback Friday - Jessica Rabbit And Mickey Mouse

It was a rare occasion to see any merchandise of Jessica Rabbit and another Disney character - especially Mickey Mouse himself! This women's shirt was a very surprising offering around 2005 from the World Of Disney New York store. Pin Release - 2014 Epcot International Food And Wine Festival Chef Jessica

A new pin was released on Friday, September 19th at the 2014 Epcot International Food And Wine Festival featuring Jessica Rabbit as a chef. It comes on a special large backer card with her recipe for Carrot Cake. Jessica is dressed like a chef with white hat and coat. She's holding a plate of carrot cake (the cake is a PVC element). There is another pin layer below her with the event logo and her quote, "I'll bake you a carrot cake." The lettering was originally shown to be colored red, but appears it was changed to black for the final version for sale. The backer card is a recipe card for Carrot Cake with White Chocolate Cheesecake Icing. The pin is a Limited Edition of 4000 and will sell for $14.95 each. Should this pin still be available after 30 days of release, it can be ordered through Disney Merchandise Guest Services.

Designer Fairytale Collection Released This Week

The Disney Fairytale Designer Collection Series Two includes Tiana and Naveen; Pocahontas and John Smith; Cinderella and Prince Charming; Mulan and Li Shang; and Aurora and Prince Philip. Some of the special detailing to each of the dolls includes embroidered bodices, rhinestone accents, golden buttons and satin gowns with ornate prints. Each doll measures 11.5 inches tall and every couple will come in their special display case, with slip cover and Certificate of Authenticity. They will be a Limited Edition of 6,000 each, the Doll Sets will sell for for $129.95. Each couple set will now be for individual sale starting on Tuesday in Disney Store locations with Tiana and Naveen. The stores get a limited number of the dolls so they have created a lottery system in the past where you can arrive and take a number in hopes it is called - rather than having a mob scene at all hours waiting in line. The next day, Wednesday morning of the 24th, the dolls go on sale on The Disney Store website (at midnight on the west coast and 3 am on the east coast). All five couple sets were sold as a pre-order in limited quantities if anyone wanted the entire series - and they sold out within minutes, as did the Designer Pin Set. The First Jessica Rabbit Animation Test

Video has surfaced of a Disney television special from 1983 which features a section on a brand new film in the works at that time, Who Framed Roger Rabbit!. The animators discuss the plot, story and characters for this new film and we are treated to concept art and test animation. This version is a bit different than the one we know, with the character designs for Roger and Jessica Rabbit in their earliest original stages. This version of Jessica is a lot more cartoony, with a distinct early 80's feel. She seems to resemble Lauren Bacall with the attitude of Bette Davis. Her face design is more of a caricature; with harder edges and dramatic lines. Her proportions don't nearly match that which we see in the movie. She is given an ample chest, but isn't as shapely or curvy. She's wearing a dress which does not resemble the one in the movie at all - a tight, long-sleeve, light blue top and full dark blue skirt. In one of her original sketches (below left) she's wearing a turtleneck sweater - a very big difference indeed. We're treated to a more in-depth look at Jessica, and even her first ever test animation.
