Pin Release - Seasons Greetings 2015 Mystery Set
The Seasons Greetings 2015 Mystery Set was released on November 19th, 2015 in Disney Parks. The set feature Disney Princesses Elsa, Anna, Belle, Jasmine, Tiana, Ariel, Jasmine, Rapunzel, but also includes Alice and Jessica Rabbit which are most likely the chaser pins. All the pins are shaped like a different snowflake, each filled with a different shiny color (not glitter filled as previous suspected). Jessica's border is pink with silver heart shapes. She is in a silver bordered oval in the center. The pose seems to be similar to her Valentine's Day 2005 pin. This is an Open Edition set hat includes two mystery pins and sells for $16.96 each.

Disney Platinum Dolls, Limited Edition Dolls, And More
Last week was a busy flurry of activity with the release of many Limited Edition dolls, including a new set of 17 inch dolls that have been dubbed "The Platinum Collection." The Aladdin and Jasmine Wedding Set started as a rumor months ago and was not officially advertised. It was a true surprise release with the other 17 inch Aladdin dolls and was extremely limited, not to mention extremely expensive. What does this mean for future sets and collecting? Let's take a look at what was released this past week...

Disney Doll Release Schedule
It's dollMAGEDDON season, and this year the schedule is overflowing with new Disney doll releases. Always hoping there will be a new Jessica Rabbit doll on the way, I've been keeping tabs on what's coming out since the first Designer Collection was released in 2011. During all this reporting I've managed to buy a few things over the years myself, but sadly it appears we won't see a Jessica doll in 2015. There is, however, a new collection which could be promising in the future. The new Designer Collection has seen the release of shirts, mugs, bags and journals - with the dolls soon to come. What else can we expect from Disney, read on...

Jasmine 17 Inch Doll Revealed
The new 17 Inch Limited Edition Heirloom Collection doll has be revealed, and as speculated it is Princess Jasmine from Aladdin. Her dress is altered from the one she wears in the movie, which is customary with most of the 17 Inch dolls in the line. Disney's own description:
"The beautifully-designed doll captures Princess Jasmine's exotic elegance in every exquisite detail."
Pre-sale for the doll has two different dates. It starts In Stores on Tuesday, August 4th and then on the Disney Store website Wednesday August 5th. They will retail for $119.95 in the US. The strong rumor around the internet is that there will be an Aladdin doll, and also a D23 Exclusive version of Jasmine as Jafar's Prisoner in her red outfit. There was speculation of a Jafar doll because there have been villains, but they have been female villains in the past, so its unsure if he will be released.

The Amazing Vinylmation Creations of Jen Bednarski
Vinylmation is still a popular collectible with collectors and marches on with many different designs and characters. Marvel, Star Wars and a 101 Dalmatians set are all on the way for 2015. Though the catalog of different characters in the series are now very extensive, some are very noticeably missing - such as Jessica Rabbit. Roger was released as a larger nine inch Vinylmation in 2012. One artist has taken Vinylmation customizing to a completely new level. Take a look at some of her amazing work.

Disney Designer Fairytale Collection Revealed
It is the most anticipated doll release of the year. The Designer Collection series revitalized Disney's Princesses and people hoped more characters would eventually be included as each years new series was announced. However, this time around it started off with a lot of mixed feelings. Heavy speculation (and high hopes) were put into a possible Leading Ladies or Heroines series for the next Designer set of dolls. New characters like Merida and others like Tink, Sally, Alice or even Jessica could have been stunningly recreated in Disney Designer glory. Rumors began to swirl around the internet back in March with Designer Doll artist, Steven Thompson, hinting on his site that there was something in the works for this year, especially with the D23 convention happening. Then came rumor from sources that unnamed CastMembers found out the new series would be Designer Couples. This rumor turned out to be true.
