Park Ranger Jessica Rabbit Has An Important Message

Some time ago I did a poll for the favorite Jessica Rabbit outfit shown on screen - sparkly dress, non-sparkly dress, Nurse Uniform, Park Ranger uniform, Wedding Dress, swimsuit. Naturally the sparkly dress took it, but it seems Park Ranger Jessica Rabbit is rtiking a chord lately. I posted this clip from Trail Mix-Up of Jessica reciting the famous Smokey Bear quote "Only you can prevent forest fires." Except Jessica delivers the line in an exuberant breathyness that Smokey did not. The reel has received a lot of attention, with many people never having seen the cartoon before. Move over Smokey, Jessica Rabbit has a new platform.

Now Available - New Jessica Rabbit Sketches At Disney Parks

There are a few new sketch options available to be made into Original Disney Art. I was sent over these pictures by Andoni who spotted them at the Wondergroud Gallery in Downtown Disneyland. In their sketch book were EIGHT new Roger Rabbit-themed sketch designs. The first two (on the left page top) are Roger. One of him in a full body pose with his arms crossed, and the other is from the scene in Who Framed Roger Rabbit when they are hiding out in the movie theater and Roger's ears twist together to make a heart. The two sketches below him are Jessica Rabbit. One is a full body pose of Jessica blowing a kiss, the other is a quarter shot of Jessica singing from her scene in the Ink and Paint Club. The right page has three more sketches of Jessica. The top two are also from Jessica's scene at the Ink and Paint Club, both close-up's. The third image is Jessica Rabbit as a Park Ranger, as seen in Trail Mix-Up. The last sketch is surprisingly of Baby Herman, sticking his tongue out in disgust at his baby bottle. Below you can see what the Jessica Park Ranger sketch looks like in color. The color scheme seems to be different than in the movie. Here she is wearing blue and white colors.

Coming Soon - Park Ranger Jessica Rabbit Statue

Electric Tiki Design, best known for their cartoony statues and maquettes, were given the opportunity to create some of Disney's most entertaining characters. It was quite a surprise that Jessica Rabbit was to have not one, but two different statues. One of the team designers, Tracy M Lee, worked for Disney Animation on several characters - including Jessica - so finally we got to see a very accurate representation of her in statue form.

The first Jessica statue by Electric Tiki was from Rollercoaster Rabbit, and shows her wearing a concept outfit that was not in the movie. The statue was available in several different colors - mint green, light blue, pink, purple, black leather (just kidding about the last one).

Park Ranger Jessica Rabbit - from the short film Trail Mix-Up, will be coming out around March April May June 2011 and was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2010. You can check the Electric Tiki Facbook page for more photos and news.

There was supposed to be an exclusive version of Park Ranger Jessica released, but it does not appear this is happening anymore.
