Could A New Jessica Doll Be Coming

During the past few years, Disney started to release a very special limited edition collector doll in conjunction with a DVD release. The Snow White doll was the first to be released, along with the DVD coming out on the same date in 2009. The doll was available for pre-order and sold for $99. It was a Limited Edition of 5000, and from what I understand, it has become a fairly sought after doll today. Other Princesses soon followed - up to Rapunzel, she too was released - but there was a surprise doll released as well of Mother Gothel, at an edition size of only 1500 in 2011. Also that year, two surprise dolls (Alice, and Queen of Hearts) were released during the hype of the Disney Designer Princess dollMAGEDDON, and both of them were a Limited Edition of only 500 each. That is an extremely low number to the doll collecting community. (Photo Via DRJ1828)

Jumping to 2012, Cinderella is being re-released on DVD, this time for Blu Ray, and a doll is also on the way October 2nd. A surprise release which was just found out will be Cinderella's wicked stepmother, Lady Tremaine, making only her second appearance now in doll form. With this trend, could we possibly see a Jessica Rabbit doll released in 2013 along with the Who Framed Roger Rabbit 25th Anniversary Blu Ray DVD? There really is no telling if this is a possibility at this point. To not celebrate the special anniversary with some new merchandise would be a shame, but the past anniversaries had not offered much, other than pins. With Disney's new interest in releasing very limited edition dolls at the same time as a DVD, it seems only fitting to have a new and improved Jessica Rabbit doll. Stay Tooned!!

Pin Preview - October and November DSF Flyers

The PDF versions of the Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store pin flyers for October and November have been released, with the upcoming Jessica Diner Series, Jessica Thanksgiving, and Jessica Gift Box pins. There have always been Jessica Rabbit Halloween pins since 2005, as of the last few years the Soda Fountain Store has been keeping her popularity going by releasing pins, but so far there is no word on a 2012 Halloween pin. There are still Surprise Pins planned for release.

Pin Previews - October, November and December

At the Mickey's Circus event, upcoming pins were previewed for The Disney Soda Fountain Store and shown on their Facebook page. Jessica has one pin coming in October (although it's not a Halloween pin.) part of the Diner series. There will be a Thanksgiving pin released on November 10th, and a Christmas pin released on November 24th. If you look at the last two photos, there seems to be a few more Jessica pins on the way. You might be able to make them out if your are eagle-eyed enough. This preview does NOT show any of the Surprise pin releases, so there is still a possibility of a Jessica Rabbit Halloween pin this year.

There will be a Toontown 20th Anniversary Pin released in Disneyland some time around December, featuring Roger and Jessica Rabbit (left). There were plenty of small pin artworks posted at the event which were hard to see, but Disney Soda Fountain appears to have quite a few on the way, including a Toys for Tots Jessica pin (right).

Yaya Han as Jessica Rabbit

Buy the Very Limited Yaya Han as Jessica Rabbit Poster

International model and cosplay entertainer, Miss Yaya Han, was turning heads at the 2012 Dragon Con, debuting a brand new Jessica Rabbit costume. Jessica was indeed a very popular character this year, and I think there might just be many more during Halloween 2012. Yaya makes her own personalized costumes, including other characters like Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Psylocke, The Baroness, and Geri from the Spice Girls.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit Cake

Head on over to Priscilla's Cottage to check out a very amazingly made Who Framed Roger Rabbit cake. Trying out some skills with airbrushing and automobile carving, Benny the Cab is the base for the cake, while Roger and Jessica sit in for a spin. It is inspired by the first ever Roger-themed snowglobe - and it's looks so cool that it would be a shame to eat it!
